Enroll for the 2025-2026 School Year…Enrollment opens January 2025
Elizabethtown Area School District uses an online registration program that allows parents/guardians to input student information from their home, office, library or any other location.
When you have completed and submitted your online registration, the registrar will be in contact with you via email/phone. At this time, registrations will be completed virtually.
The following documents are needed to complete your registration:
- Child’s Birth Certificate preferred (please note, if birth certificate can't be produced, the District will accept alternate proof of birth (i.e. passport or notarized birth statement)
- Student’s immunization record. A list of immunization requirements can be found on our website.
- Photo ID of parent/guardian
- TWO Proofs of parent/guardian’s residency in the Elizabethtown Area School District.
- Custody Papers if applicable
- For safety and security purposes, provide a current photo of the student. The photo should be free from other individuals, and the child's face is clear and unobstructed (i.e no hats or sunglasses, forward facing)
If you do not have access to a computer, the Elizabethtown Public Library has computers for the public to use.
The District encourages families to register early. Early registration helps the District better plan for the upcoming school year, allocate resources effectively, and ensure a smooth transition for incoming kindergarten students. Additionally, early registration aids the District in coordinating its screening program for fully enrolled kindergarten students, which typically occurs in the spring and summer months.
If you have any questions about kindergarten registration, contact Becky Greenly, Student Records and Registration Office, by phone (717) 361-4893 or by email at becky_greenly@etownschools.org.
Full Day Kindergarten Option
Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, Elizabethtown Area School District will launch a Full Day Kindergarten program available to a limited number of students through a lottery system.
To be eligible for consideration, children must be fully enrolled in Kindergarten by May 23, 2025, by noon (12 p.m.) AND complete the required screening process during one of the scheduled sessions at the end of May (May 27-30). Once these steps are completed, all eligible students will be entered into a lottery. Families will be notified of their child’s placement—either Half Day or Full Day Kindergarten—in June.
